Amber Lewis for Loloi Rugs In My Home

Amber Lewis for Loloi Rugs In My Home

Two years ago I was on a Lancaster trip with a client turned friend on a mission to find decor for her brand new home, when we visited my favorite store in Lancaster: Cocalico Creek. It was here I discovered the beautiful patterns of Amber Lewis’s rugs for Loloi. We both fell in love with a rug shown in their store and I decided to flip it over and took a picture of the tag: which lead me down the road to Amber Lewis’s collection.

Slowly, I’ve worked to swap out the rugs in my home to most of her patterns (when my husband’s not looking).

What size rug should I purchase?

In Dining Rooms I recommend the rug be 18-24” bigger than the table itself, taking into account the chairs as well. In living rooms my rule of thumb is to have the front of the furniture legs on the edges of the rug. In Master Bedrooms I like the rug to be about 8-10” in front of the bedside tables, expand at least 2-3’ on each side of the bed. To save time and not reinvent the wheel, I found this helpful guide from Allisa Jacob’s Blog:

Rug Pads?

Short answer is it depends on the rug’s thickness. Many of the Amber Lewis rugs I favor have cloudpile, which means they are a little thicker and are SUPER soft. So I opted for rug corners (linked below, just click on the picture). A 12 piece set will get you corners for 3 rugs. If they’re a little thinner, I do a thicker rug pad, and I always find the best deals on them in the rug section of Homegoods.

My secret to ordering these rugs is to actually first start on: Rugs Direct .com, but only to see the rug in your space. They have the option to “See This Rug In Your Space”. However- the best pricing I’ve found on them teters between Amazon and Wayfair. So I’ll link the rugs on both on this page.

Rug 1: Amber Lewis Morgan Spice Lagoon- is my absolute favorite.

It’s the first rug that I saw of hers back when we were in Lancaster. It’s so soft, and I love it so much that I have it in two rooms of my home: in my master bedroom and under our eat-in kitchen table.

Rug 2: Amber Lewis Georgie Oriental Moss/Salmon Area Rug

This is more of a flat weave rug and requires a rug pad.

Rug 3: Amber Lewis Morgan Sunset Ink

I just recently swapped out my original Amber Lewis Tobacco Rust rug for this one, when I felt how soft the cloudpile was on my master bedroom rug.

Rug 4: Amber Lewis Morgan Denim Rug

I have this rug as the entry rug from our garage into what I call “ Benny’s Room” as well as a runner in my closet.

Rug 5: Amber Lewis Morgan Navy/Sand

This rug can be found in my guest room. As you can likely tell I have a thing for the Morgan Collection.

I also had the Tobacco Rust from the Billie Collection linked below:

Finally, some honorable mentions that I’ve been eyeing but fortunately (or unfortunately) there aren’t enough rooms in my home to keep going with this :)
