Peel & Stick Wallpaper: Amazon Favorites

Peel & Stick Wallpaper: Amazon Favorites

5 months ago we purchased our first camper and I had set goals to revamp it to my style. I wanted to go a little more bold with prints since it was our camper, whereas I go a little more neutral in our home.

Tackling a project with Peel and Stick Wallpaper has always been on my mind because I liked the idea that it could be changed down the road with very little damage if any to walls should my style change.

With very little space within the camper itself, I thought the exterior bathroom wall would be the perfect place to add a little visual pizzazz, and inspiration on Pinterest led me to make my first peel and stick wallpaper purchase.

Here’s the before picture and how she turned out:

Details:

I purchased the following peel and stick wallpaper pretty inexpensively. 2 rolls did the trick for this small wall with plenty to spare:

I also purchased this cheap tool kit to apply the wallpaper up:

  • I first measured out the entire wall, laid the roll down on the floor, measured, and cut the roll to the exact wall length

  • Then I made level guide lines vertically down the wall at 17 3/4” apart (the width of the wallpaper roll.

  • Starting from the top, I peeled back the first 5 inches from the back, placed it at the top part of my wall, and slowly smoothed out any bubbles with the smoothing tool from my kit.

  • As I worked my way down the wall, I slowly continued to peel off the back paper from the roll.

  • All in all this project was super easy, very inexpensive (under $25 in wallpaper and supplies) and it hasn’t peeled off my wall at all. I have heard of people being worried of it peeling so they apply 3M spray adhesive first, but I wouldn’t recommend that if you want to eventually be able to take this off the wall as your style changes.

****It’s important to note that I painted the original camper walls white- and since my wallpaper was white, if I hadn’t, then you would be able to see the existing paint color slightly behind the peel and stick paper. So it’s important to paint your wall white, if you’re going with a lighter wallpaper color and the existing wall is dark.

Here are some other wallpapers I considered from Amazon with varying pricing:

And there you have it! An inexpensive way to add a focal wall to your home! As always, thanks for stopping by, sharing, and supporting me.
